To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

I love that I was able to purchase a new lock instead of buying a new cat door. It was also very easy to install!

Cap flap door plastic lock
Cat flap door is very good, but the Red Plastic Lock is not durable enough and have ordered a few replacements. It should be made of metal or Lexan like the door. It needs to be upgraded and the new and improved version should be offered as a replacement part. Great but
Glad I can get these. Just wish the had metal version of the lock. As one of my fireballs as learned how to open the door when it's one-way. But in the process brakes part of the plastic off part of the lock therefore making the door Open both ways so I go through a lot of packages if they were metal I don't think it would break. But it's still better and having to buy a whole new cat door kit as I'm sure that's the case for other manufacturers

Repair cat door
I’m glad the locking lever was available and that I didn’t have to replace the whole door. I think the piece was overpriced, but still cheaper than full replacement. Installation of lever was easy, realignment of whole door was a pain.

New part better than getting new unit
One of my cat's broke or wore out one on the locking nibs. So great to find this part.

Doesn't Fit, Doesn't Work
The parts are not the same size as the original part. As a result, the lock detents do not engage and the lock will lock as the door is used (yes, the pieces were "snapped together") In addition the lock plates were larger in diameter meaning if the lock selector is not aligned perfectly, the door is effectively locked. Add to that the fact that the price and shipping of a single lock is HALF OF THE CURRENT PRICE OF A COMPLETE REPLACEMENT DOOR ON AMAZON. We have four of these doors in use, but this leaves a very bitter taste in ones mouth, especially since the lock was weak enough to be broken by an aggressive dog attempting to kill one of our cats.
