5 Fluffiest Felines
When selecting a cat, we ask ourselves lots of questions. Is it friendly? Is it healthy? Can it use a litter box? Will it get along with my dog? But there’s one equally important inquiry that mustn’t be omitted: How fluffy is it? For this is, of course, one of a cat's most momentous qualities. So without further ado, we formally present to you the world’s five fluffiest feline breeds.
- Maine Coon. We’d say you’ll need a spare bedroom to accommodate the Maine Coon (which can weigh up to 18 pounds and has endless layers of fleecy fluff), but this loving cat will likely take up residence in your lap – so it shouldn’t be a problem.
- Siberian. This breed is as rare as its glorious coat, which includes a waterproof topcoat and changes with the seasons. Incentive to obtain: if you get in its good graces, you’ll get to run your fingers through the Siberian’s dense, downy undercoat.
- Persian. Beware: The Persian’s long flowing locks may inspire jealousy in shorter-haired members of your family.
- Norwegian Forest Cat. This gigantic kitty may require professional help – from a groomer, that is. Its majestic mane can get a bit unruly (especially after the long days we assume it spends frolicking with woodland creatures).
- Ragdoll. A fan favorite, the Ragdoll’s coat is comparable to that of a rabbit – i.e. super super silky – and it’s famous for loving attention, so you can tickle its tummy to your heart’s content.
