To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

I have owned the dog door for a sliding glass patio door for 10 years. Awesome door! I have 2 Labradors that constantly go in and out so needless to say the vinyl door takes a beating. Great Product for cats!
When I moved to an apartment, I ended up with a second floor unit with a balcony. I wanted my indoor cats to be able to go out on the balcony at will. I also wanted to be able to keep the litterbox outside so the apartment didn't smell like cat urine. Ideal Pet Products had the perfect solution - a glass panel with a small animal flap that I could put in the sliding glass balcony doors. It was perfect! Happy cats, happy residents. Over time, the door flap became dirty and warped from the heat (I live in Arizona). Once again it was Ideal Pet Products to the rescue! They else replacement part for their products. A little measuring and a new flap was on the way. Easy to install and now the panel functions just like when it was new. I highly recommend this product and company!

Hair shorter
After 8 years of use from 4 small dogs and time in the Nevada sun and heat, our old, plastic flapper was tearing at the top. I ordered a replacement door that was almost an exact fit. The length is just a fraction shorter than the flapper I was replacing. It catches the magnetic strip at the bottom, but with a little breeze it can open. I fear once we hit winter the wind will really open this up too much. I need to find a way to weight it and stretch it or something so it catches the bottom strip more securely. Other than that it is easy to replace and looks good.

Great if you don’t live in cold/hot temps
This is a great product but unfortunately I live in Wisconsin and this product doesn’t provide insulation so the dog door allows cold in in the winter and hot in in the summer. Apparently there aren’t insulated options for this size (sl) of dog door. The existing one I purchased has been very nice but it needs to be replaced every year due to the top ripping

The only one
Yes I have to replace it but it last a long time. I have three medium sized dogs that run in and out at full speed. I should try to count how many times a day they go through it. Ideal is quality.
