To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

Should get a ZERO star
Per Ideal website this is the largest dog door slide. Well that's a shock because the slide they sent is half the size of the dog door I purchased. Still trying to get them to let me know how to return the product, since the FedEx destroyed the bag it was shipped in, and get a refund. Their reply: no response, no response, no response. Guess I"ll have to dispute the charge with credit card company to get them to take they undersized product back and refund my money.

13 years later, perfect fit !
Hi, We installed a doggie door in the wall, double flaps, when we moved in, in 2004. This XL door has been well used, 4 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and one mutt. Noticed the other day that the outside magnet strip had disappeared. To my delight I found it as a spare part, ordered it, and now really surprised - it fit exactly. So really, kudos to a company who thinks of old customers.

Wanted 2nd door for outside
I don't know why 2 slip in door panels are not standard issue with cat/dog doors. Received 2nd and it's just right to completely block cold air from both sides with pillow in between to insulate.

Best pet door
Ordered one of the Ruff-Weather pet doors and wanted to have a security door both inside and outside to bolck the heavy winds I get here on the water front. This is by far the best pet door I have bought over the years. I wish these doors came with two security doors but understand some people may not want it. This door was extreamly easy to install . I got the super large size and it is perfect for my Mastiff.

Perfect replacement door
Although the site did not state the dimensions of the door, it stated the size, (sm., med., etc) and the door fit perfect. Great to have a door again that is not split up the middle.

Exactly what I needed
