To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

Thrilled to Find Flap That Fits
My doggie door goes back 16 years to when I first bought my house. I've had to cut down ill-fitting flaps since the manufacturer stopped producing replacements. I was thrilled to find a 9" x 15" flap that actually fits perfectly. It's IDEAL!

The only place to get Old Style Parts!
I have bought all my parts from them for over 20 Years and had only 1 Problem and it was taken care of. Yes the FLAPS work GREAT. If you do not install it correctly then they will not lay flap. Yes you dog can move the flap. Just unscrew the screws and reset the flap. No brainer. Better order parts for old door or buy new style door now. I hope they give me a discount when I order a new dog door when I can not get parts for them anymore.

I have 2 wild and crazy boy pugs who constantly use the dog door plus visiting dogs. This flap lasts about a year which is great.

GREAT DOGGIE DOORS
Have had an Ideal doggie door for 15 years. I've replaced the flap 5 times and the flap frame and flap mounting bar once. Overall the door has held up well with two full size 55 lb and 80 lb poodles running through the door at full speed.

they fit perfect!
we have the "old" kind of dog flaps and this place is the only place we can find them, since they made them! Our 2 labs ZOOM out their dog door when SQs enter the yard (can't type "squirrel" w/o them tearing outdoors) so every 2-3 yrs we have to order more. If it wasn't for the SQs, they'd last forever.

Just what I needed
I have the old style door and was unable to find the replacement flap anywhere. Glad that I went back to ideal products and talked to a representative who was very helpful in getting me the replacement flap I need it.
