To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

Doggy door flap
I purchased the door that fits in a sliding patio door in 2000. The aluminum and glass part is holding up great! I have two large dogs that use the door frequently. The flaps tend to tear where they attach with the three screws to the frame. I wish I could make the flap last longer, as they are getting harder to find. I love my Ideal Pet Door and want to keep it in use.

I am so happy to be able to find the perfect replacement for our old-style flap. Our door is about 20 years old. The way it was installed would make for a real problem if I couldn’t get a replacement. I clean the flap with Clorox wet wipes. The reason I think the flap is broken is a visitor dog too big for it!

Excellent Quality
I have always purchased replacement parts for my Pet Door from Ideal Pet Products. I have never been disappointed. I have an older style dog door which has been improved on in the next generation of dog doors. I can't update due to the specific size I have, replacement parts are the way to go.

Dog door flap type replacement
Does not fit as tightly as the original. Seems to be slightly smaller than the original, causes air leakage. The inner frame could use replacement, but it's no longer available. But if it was available, judging by the fit of the replacement door flap, it probably would be a waste of money.

I have replaced the flap several times and each time the replacement flat fit perfect.
