To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

After buying a replacement flap at Home Depot, I found website info to order the magnet bar. It popped right in. My dog had broken it 6 months ago and I thought I would have to buy a new door to fix it. I bought 2 so I have an extra on hand. Just like new!

Hold on for Dear Life!
Perfect fit and finish for the existing ideal pet door we own (the super large size). The replacement snaps into place using the formed mold of the door opening (at the bottom). If there is a weakness, it's that our mastiff runs through the opening at high speeds, and the formed mold on the door is starting to break - I use JB Weld to secure the new magnet to prevent it from breaking off and no doubt being eaten at some point.

Magnet retainer bar perfect fit
I had to replace my inside frame, and purchased a spare magnet retainer bar. Thankfully I thought of this, as the replacement frame was 3/4" smaller than the original. I had to return the frame, but was able to slide the replacement magnet bar into the existing frame. In the future, I will just buy the retainer bar and flaps.

Never received product
I was not sure if I needed this one or the older one so I just ordered both figured for $9 it was worth making sure I got the right one. However when the package cane that was supposed to have both parta in it it only had 1. Poor quality control on order fulfillment. Lucky for me the I i did receive worked Please call us toll free at 1-800-378-4385 and allow us to resolve the problem.
